You got the touch
You got the power
After all is said and done
You've never walked, you've never run,
You're a winner
You got the moves, you know the streets
Break the rules, take the heat
You're nobody's fool
You're at your best when when the goin' gets rough
You've been put to the test, but it's never enough
You got the touch
You got the power
When all hell's breakin' loose
You'll be riding the eye of the storm
You got the heart
You got the motion
You know that when things get too tough
You got the touch
You never bend, you never break
You seem to know just what it takes
You're a fighter
It's in the blood, it's in the will
It's in the mighty hands of steel
When you're standin' your ground
And you never get hit when your back's to the wall
Gonna fight to the end and you're takin' it all
You got the touch
You got the power
When all hell's breakin' loose
You'll be riding the eye of the storm
You got the heart
You got the motion
You know that when things get too tough
You got the touch
You're fightin' fire with fire
You know you got the touch
You're at your best when when the road gets rough
You've been put to the test, but it's never enough
You got the touch
You got the power
You got the touch
You got the power

I'm tired of the Southern Pacific Railroad! They play a little game where they pull up *almost* enough to let traffic by and stop. Then back up *almost* enough to let traffic by and stop. Then repeat. They are only supposed to block traffic for 10 minutes but there is no enforcement so they do as they damned well please. Then again, law enforcement has been turning a blind eye to the railroad's shenanigans since the 1800 when the railroad would *convince* land owners to *sell* their land to bring the railroad through.
Don't we taxpayers pretty much fund the railroad with government subsidizes or is that just Amtrack? When I am sitting and waiting for 30-45 minutes, I think of ways to get revenge. I would like to fine a sidelined train and weld the wheels to the track with a portable welder! But I'm sure that would be some sort of a federal crime, probably terrorism. Maybe I can buy an old clunker car (cash), park it across the tracks and remove all 4 wheels!

Be sure to put a mannequin in the driver's seat.

The dumb "art" crap on TC that grows to 7 PAGES in 9 days!
ATP you are right about that one.
The word Mixologists and "hand crafted cocktail"
The difference between a drink and a hand crafted cocktail is about five bucks.
Every person with a cocktail shaker in their hand is a Mixologists till they
go back to selling carpet in the day.

Skip was just reacting to the same (iPad Art) thread I myself criticized
"I do have issue with someone who uses "Stamp Brushes" and "Cloned Clip art"
on an iPad App using a finger to draw
and assemble graphic elements such as palm trees etc.
Then call it an original work of Art"
It's work like this that gives Digital Art a bad name, which I worked professionally in for some years myself.
I know you want to support all the Artists out there MP
I get it, but supporting mediocrity without at least some criticism
does a disservice to the really fine artists, such as yourself
as well as getting past walls many first time artists put up that frankly
keeps them from learning.
You can send me an angry PM if you want to unload on me I don't mind
I will take it as the criticism of a true artist.

Well for me it's deeper than that.
This guy posts every little step good bad and ugly.
I think there were like 10 posts from him in one day
on his own thread.
Dam edit out the bad or in this case the really bad at least.
I am between ATPs harder line, and hey it's cool that's what the
guy does.
Also the people who support these people here DON"T post on Say KAHAKAS thread,
a person who makes great tiki art lamps, kinda strange don't you think?
But it is good for biz to always kiss babies and glad hand all of the time,
I just can't bring myself to sell my soul that way just to sell lights or
build this huge pile of people who I can trade complements with here on TC.
But it would be the easy way, selling my soul that is.
Maybe that's why I'm such a grumpy old man.
My mom put it best "The world made me this way"
HAPPY MOTHERSDAY!!!!!
Much love from your Lightologist Hand crafting Tiki bar Lights.

I'm tired of 4x50 rolls of lauhala matting not being 4x50.
It ranges from 44-49 inches. None of the edges are straight.
I realize the 9 yr old Pilipino kid weaving it is doing the best he can, but good Christ can we get him a ruler or a square?

I'm tired of people not returning their RSVPs.
I have noticed that the COST of celebrations has far exceeded the VALUE of those celebrations. When I got married 30 years ago we had our wedding reception in the church social hall. Wedding cake, red punch, butter mints, and mixed salted nuts. Now a wedding reception is EXPECTED to have a 7 course sit-down dinner, open bar, a band AND a DJ, elaborate gifts for all the guests, limo shuttle service, etc. Same with kid's birthday parties, they used to be a simple affair with cake and ice cream. Now you can't have a birthday party for a 3 year old without spending $1000.
So the cost has dramatically increased ~ has the value, or the amount of enjoyment derived increased? Based on the difficulty in obtaining RSVPs, I say the answer is no. People have so many entertainment options that they do not want to commit to any given event because something better might come up. People expect you to go into debt for $200 for each guest but they can't be bothered to drop an RSVP card in the mail that you already stamped and addressed? What's up with that???!!!
