"Pacifika" New York Hawaiian Film Festival inkylouise Grand Member (first year)   Joined: May 18, 2002 Posts: 522 From: las vegas Posted: 2003-05-13 8:38 pm   Permalink This weekend there is a film festival being sponsered by the Hawaiian Cultural Foundation of New York that features the films centering around Hawaii and Hawaiian culture. Of special interest to y'all could be 2 movies, "Velvet Dream" which is a docu-drama that is revolving around the elusive beauty if a south seas maiden as depicted in a black velvet painting. There is also a film called "Skin Stories" which traces the origins of tattoos.
