Birthdays are always an occasion on which to reflect on the previous year, the coming years ahead and life as
a whole. Never is this more instensified than when there was a chance that birthday might not have been
possible to celebrate at all.
Here's a colossal heap of gratitude to the powers that be for giving Marie the miraculous opportunity to
celebrate another birthday!!!
Her strength, stamina and determination in body, mind and spirit are positively infectious and a constant
source of inspiration for everyone around her. Just yesterday, during two separate hospital follow-ups,
the specialists continually commented on what astounding progress she has made in such a relatively
short period of time. There is no doubt this will continue and we will all be fortunate enough to celebrate
many, many, many more birthdays with her in the future!!!
Thank you, Marie, for being with us here today...for providing so much perspective, for being a true, shining
light and proof of hope, belief and strength of spirit, and most of all, for being the wonderful soul that you
are! We are all better for knowing you!!!
