hang10tiki that is so adorable I just want to kiss those tiny ears. Thank you so much. Dan enjoyed that a lot.

lunavideogames what a good memory you have for Dan's food habits. We are continuing tradition to see how many free deserts we can rustle up. But not all on the same day.

Harris Ranch. Dan stole this pose from Tiki Hula.

Billy's on the Beach.

California Pizza Kitchen.

We are going to the Doug Horne, little lost tiki and Big Toes art show tonight with Tiki Hula, Woo Hoo Wahine and Soccer Tiki.
I'll take lots of photos at this event. Then tomorrow we are going to the Don the Beachcomber's Marketplace.

==========================================================================
So here's the Wish List #4 update.

Tiki Hula's ALL DEAD shrunken head bowl is all dry so I carved the trough into the tassel. This is where the run will flow causing a fire flow.

==========================================================================

Next up I started a bowl for Tavaru Tiki and then through an error where I didn't update his email address I lost contact with him and ended up working this bowl up for Dan.

It was to be a Frankoma War God Goblet with two Place of Refuge tikis on the back. Here's how far I got before I stopped and let it dry. That left it a total Frankoma Goblet because those are Joniece Franks tiki salt and peppers too. If you go to page 1 you will find the incredible story of these guys.

The Hefty bags are still keeping my casts from drying out. I choose a bowl

and then added clay until the bowl was rounded inside.

I cut a hole in the head of the War God so that later I can place the bowl there without trapping the dreaded air bubbles.

I sliced off a portion of the little tiki and then

covered the edges with sticky clay and

pressed it onto the War God.

I smoothed the connection around the tiki.

Then I did it with the second tiki.

Now it was time to affix the bowl on top. I covered it carefully with sticky clay to avoid the air bubbles.

Placed and pressed down.

I used a large brush to remove any excess clay that was squished out on the inside of the head.

Next I did it on the outside of the head.

Lastly I added what would become flames up the outside of the bowl.

Now he was set aside to slowly dry.

Cheers, Wendy

Happy Birthday to Dan!

Love the new piece. Sorry I'll miss you guys tomorrow at the Tiki Marketplace, it's (also) the SD Home Bar Crawl....

Look forward to seeing photos from the art show, wanted to make it up to that as well. Sounds like Dan's having a great birthday weekend. Maybe some more desserts at Don's?

Happy (belated?) Birthday week Dan! Eat as many desserts as you can find without exploding!

Rat Fink Bob Rocks!

The War God Goblet is looking Great!

Did I miss something about the kickstarter? mug project? I think it was referrring to the big mug you were making a mold of from a plastic 3D model, but not sure?

Wonderful work as usual. Oh and Dan in "safety first" hula costume made my night.

Happy Birthday Dan!

Glad I get to spend it with you and having fun. For those like us who 'think young', age really is a state of mind

muskrat Dan's doing his best. Today is his actual birthday.

TikiAno we'll have to see about more deserts. We'll miss you too.

tigertail777 thank you so much. The kickstarter mug was made by Tiki Atari and sent to me for making specials for rewards and then I sent it on to Tiki Farm for the large run. We are all about safety.

TikiHula while I thank you for the note you are sitting in the same room. Now that's funny.

==============================================================================================

For my sweetheart DAN who makes my life so much fun.

==============================================================================================

Next up on our trip to Southern California was a visit with Woo Hoo Wahine and Soccer Tiki.

Here's a view of just one of their beautiful tiki rooms.

Tiki Hula and Soccer Tiki are checking out some mugs.

They surprised Dan with a moving card and Bunt Cake and even more than some DNA from Chris!

My turn for a photo with our friends.

Boys will be boys.

=======================================================================================

Now we were all off to the Art Show

=============================================================================

At breakfast this morning Tiki Hula surprised Dan with a birthday card.

=============================================================================

Thank you everyone for making Dan's birthday special. Now we are leaving for Don the Beachcomber's Marketplace sale.
I wonder if there is a birthday gift waiting to be bought.

Cheers, Wendy

WooHooWahine you and Soccer Tiki are so nice to us. We appreciate all that you do. You made his birthday very special. We had a great time and Marketplace was over the top. We just got home and have been doing chores.

Dan loved his lemon cake and sends you a big hug.

TikiHula don't forget our get together on Saturday. It was a lot of fun having you with us on this trip.

hang10tiki This is my favorite. You sure know how to take a great photo!

===========================================================================

How we spent Dan's birthday day. We were at Don the Beachcomber's international Tiki Marketplace run by Woo Hoo Wahine and Soccer Tiki

HB Tiki's wife Margi was watching over all the donations for the charity raffle.

I donated a Tiki Bob decanter.

At lunch one of the Martini Kings stopped by to say hi to Dan. We love their music. The Smokin Menehunies were playing classics while we ate.

Don the Beachcomber's supplied Dan with another free birthday desert.

Stopping at the Mrs. and Mr. Tiki Tony booth.

Love Tiki or Hot Tiki or??? with Max of Taboo Island and HB Tiki.

Tiki Al

I'm with SHAG!

Buzzy says hi.

We loved and wanted this Bumatay tiki so badly but we couldn't move it. It eventually went to a good home.

Nelson aka Mahalo Tiki at his booth.

Bullet and Mike hanging out.

Soccer Tiki Runs the raffle. He's holding my decanter.

I'm with the winner and

Tiki Hula was a winner too. He's making his shrunken head bowl at my home and he won a Deadhead shrunken drink set. Great coincidence.

The last meal of our trip and Dan's last desert. We got punked! The carmel sauce was mixed with garlic and burnt. It was free so we took a fun photo, ate the strawberries, paid the dinner bill, left a big tip and beat it.

===================================================
We had a great trip and we are already back to work with a couple of molds poured. I'll be back to posting Wish List #4 projects tomorrow.

Thank you all for the visits and fun here and in Southern California. Dan had a birthday to remember, cheers, Wendy
