Well, its been 3 years since I embarked on this tiki adventure and I've collected some things and hung up some things. Here's some updates on the Trailerpark Tiki Bar.

Thank you. I've learned that you're never done unless you call Bamboo Ben for help, but that would take some of the fun out of it. Part of the fun has been acquiring the interesting tikis, art and lamps.

I acquired the mural from a friend of a friend that bought a mid-century home in Chicago that had a tiki bar in the basement. The new owners were going to trash the mural and remodel the home, so I offered to pay for the shipping and I got it practically for free. The artist is still a mystery but I would love to know myself.

Started renovating my tiki bar ceiling. First I painted it brown:
Then I got to work on making some faux bamboo in my garage:
My garage is a freakin' bamboo factory.
...and while I was waiting for the paint to dry, I dabbled with the router.
I see some burning in my future. Stay tuned for more.
