I went to the "Who's Your Daddy?" seminar at Tales of the Cocktail New Orleans this last weekend. There are quite a few tiki-centric events throughout the convention. It needs to get listed as an event in it's own right next year.

Outside of Jeff's seminar and the Tasting Dinner at Rio Mar, which featured cocktails from Wayne Curtis and Martin Cate, every "tiki" drink I had at Tales was dreadful. I think most of the fault lies with the sponsors. They had some people who knew tiki from a hole in the ground involved, but they just weren't given the budget to execute correctly.
And while on the subject, at the Rio Mar dinner, I did get a bottle of Ron de Jeremy rum signed by Mr. Jeremy himself!
