The market is still there with many newer buildings added and now called a shopping center. Looks like a bus stop bench is in the spot where the tiki was located.

This iconic image with its slightly incorrect caption has been confusing Tiki archeologists for some time. The Tiki and the sign are actually part of the adjacent Googie Coffee Shop called "Tiki Tops":

Could be, the body styles seem similar. I wonder if the above depicts THIS place:
That color photo above sure looks like a "Tiki House"! - though the Tikis' styles are much more varied than in this ad. And I'm not sure, are they palm or tree fern in the color photo?
