Yes, yes you definitely have a distinctive style of your own,
and I think it's very very cool and well made.
Great job!

amate, will, hill, and Clarita thank you for the comments. I had a swell time at Caliente this year, my best yet. Thanks to all that purchased Lonnie, Growth Pole, Orson, Ben, Barry, Dyson, and Lauderdale! Here are a few pics from the journey.
You guys want log porn? This oughta' make you move a bit as my first stop was in Redding to visit Kevin from Timber Cove Tiki.

I bought the tiki on the right from him, the mod one on the left from my pal Skoo, and the cement pieces are from Big Ed.

Here's the set up.

Jason Lee and his band R.I.P.ed it!

I was not sure how Dyson would be received and was pumped when the famous Shag bought him. That's him in the middle, me on the right and I did not get the name of the dude on the left.

You weren't suppose to spend all your doe on
the way home. However, you will have plenty of
stuff to sell next year by the time you chip
up that pile of logs you picked up.
Ah, the Tiki life.

Thanks MDM, I missed you also but did check out your cool installation at Tonga Hut! Hopefully you will attend Oasis. You are right Will, I did spend the profit but it was worth it to have some carved pieces from friends. Unfortunately those logs belong to Timber Cove-He never turned his back long enough for me to sneak one or two into my van.

Thanks pjc. Here is what has gone on the last few weeks. I cut a broken "Lucy" in half and inserted her into a new bottom section.

I will paint black to match.

These two bass wood pieces by themselves did not thrill me.

Stacked and with an added base made it better.

It's called a spooky "Cannibal's Cauldron"

Also worked this cedar shot glass/mug /bar kind of thingy.

Awesome stuff, as always. Especially diggin' Cannibal's Cauldron. Look forward to seeing all in person at Oasis.

Cool t shirt to be sure H10. Willy and amate I appreciate the support from two great carvers, and Big T it was fun to get a reaction from a painter that I admire so much. (What artist has more of a positive following in the tiki world than Shag?) I will see you soon at TO TA. I am almost done with Lucy 2.

Some black highlights to portions and I be finished.

I hope to finish this bass wood piece by next week end.

Whilst browsing the lighting section at our local everything store I spied this bucket of hot coals looking thing. I thought it would make a great base for "Cannibal's Cauldron" so bought one and started experimenting. Here's what I came up with.

After some fine tuning I will add paint, black for the base and cauldron, grey stain for most with some turquoise highlights here and there.
