Something very similar happened to me a couple years ago when I stopped at Mission Beach for a farewell dunk in ocean before heading back to Seattle - only I wasn't drunk! Those waves can really do a number on you if you don't have very good balance to begin with! That was pretty funny though - as I'm sure folks thought about me while I kept getting pummeled by wave after wave. My daughter had to come to my rescue too, but I had the good sense to get out while I could!

A similar thing happen to GROG a few weeks ago. GROG took a bath rather than GROG' usual shower, and wave after wave pummel GROG against bathtub. The tub basin was too slick for GROG to get a handhold to pull GROG-self out, so GROG had to wait until GROG' roommate come home from work about 7 hours later. GROG skin was pretty pruny by that point.
