Trader Vic's has served at least two different combinations of appetizers over the years. The most famous is the Cosmo Tidbits containing an assortment of Cha Siu Pork, Barbecue Spareribs, Crab Rangoon, and Crispy Prawns. The recipes for each of those items can be found in the Trader Vic's Tiki Party Book and elsewhere. However in looking at old Trader Vic's menus, they also served lesser known Malayan Tidbits containing 3 different items. That consisted of Rumaki (chicken livers-a Don the Beachcomber recipe is found in Taboo Table p 34). It also contained cheese balls-a jalapeno version is found in Trader Vic's Tiki Table p 135. It also contained Curry Puffs, but I have no idea how to make that. If anyone has the Trader Vic recipes for any of these appetizers please post them.
