Google Maps shows the Budget Inn Motel is located at this site and it appears to have been there a long time. I'm guessing it's the same place, stripped of its South Pacific decor.

Wow that must be old. That area was not very nice even when I was a kid 30 years ago. It's a terrible area now, I would not walk around there at night. Very cool to see though.

I always loved that Tiki-torch-holding-Tiki concept, they're not as common as one would think.

Well lookie here, a Tropics Cocktail Lounge was located just down the street from the Tahiti Motel on Sepulveda Blvd.
