I started building my Tiki / Surf bar shortly after completing my first Tiki carving.
I've used strip LEDS under the bar lip and above the surfboard, these can be changed my remote control.
The bartop was created by merging images from surf magazines then varnishing them to the worktop. This was finished by wrapping the bartop in clear vinyl wrap.
Reed fencing was stapled to the front to give the tropical look.
I will be putting a shelf across the back wall so I can add my liquor stocks and the walls will be covered with surf / travel photos.
Thanks for checking out!
Building the frame.
Bar with the reed fencing.
Designing the bar top with surf images.
Design varnished.
Bartop attached.
Testing the lights.

Hi, I used 5050 RGB strip LEDs for the lighting. They are controlled by a remote control and I can change the colours from blue, green, red etc, 50 options including fade and flicker, really cool. The UV black light is great for highlighting the bar design. The blue colour is really vibrant and sets a great atmosphere.
Once I've put the shelf in across the back, I plan on getting a nice selection of bottles including tiki mugs, carvings etc.
I'll post again as I progress.
Cheers for checking out.

Cheers guys! If I get too loaded I just stay behind the bar and see the night out. Always interesting liquor to keep me occupied.
