hey bro, in my very humble opinion, you're on the right track here with the tribal style detailing on the base...just take it a step further...there's still a lot of blank space down there...
sometimes I like a little reference material when I'm "detailing" like this...and here's one from my reference file to show you what I mean...fill some of that blank space on the base and it will really pop...

5150- I see your point but I think I'll try that on a stump I can stand and work on.
My back/neck is still feeling it from sitting/lying on the ground to work on the lower end.

INK TIME (wood burner)
It was cold out this am, felt the need to touch the wood burner now n then.
3 areas done, 3 to go.
Note: I have a bunch of tattoos saved on my computer, so some designs by great Ink Masters.
