You know Tiki is becoming more mainstream when Food & Wine Magazine features a Tiki drink.
The Blue Steel drink from Jasper's Corner in San Francisco featured in this month's edition.
Have not tried it yet.

And in the note at the bottom on making simple syrup I'm reminded of the question "to boil or not to boil" when making simple syrup...
I agree the cocktail name "Blue Steel" isn't very good if they are also labelling this a tiki drink.

Looks like a good drink.
Unfortunately it is not an ambiturner. It can only turn right and can't turn left.
