Hi all. I've been a Tiki Central member for some years now, and have been a tiki-phile for over 2 decades.......but I'm a Tiki Caliente noob! The wife and I will be making our first trip to Palm Springs and, more importantly, to TC5. I'm wondering if there are any suggestions, tips or pearls of wisdom any of you veterans might be willing to pass on. We are looking forward to playing our small part in the weekend's events but want to be sure we don't commit any major faux pas. Mahalo and can't wait to see you all!

Some things that will make your Vacation better.
*Introduce yourself to others. They are a friendly group
*Bring Sunscreen
*Bring a Hat
*Bring a long sleeve White shirt if possible
*Swim Trunks
*Cash for drinks and vendors
*Pace yourself,it's a different ballgame drinking when sitting in the desert sun
If you can stay on grounds. Escaping to an Air conditioned room is heavenly at times.
Plus all the band's,room parties, vendors, food and drinks
I look forward to having you at Caliente and thank you for giving us a chance to entertain you.
W

Yes! Make sure to be sociable. Not only will it make this experience more enjoyable, it will make your subsequent TCs more enjoyable (as you get to see old friends).

Stay a way from ATP. Well unless you have a good since of humor.
SMILE!
Meet new people and have fun.
Drink water. Take a nap in the A/C in early afternoon, it helps keep you fresh for all the late night fun.
And have Fun.
Bring extra clothing, as you might want to do extra wardrobe changes.
Have more fun.
Did someone mention sunscreen... lots and lots.
have a bit more fun.
Tip the room crawl hosts. As they are all fabulous.
get lost in the crowd and HAVE FUN

Thanks for the tips and welcoming attitude everyone! While the duct tape was a given, the other pointers are well taken. We'll be making the rounds and saying hello to you all. Can't wait!
