The pages are basically just black paper and it is bound with a leather strap. The remainder of the covers have a pretty convincing thin leather look and feel. I tried to upload an additional photo of it but my iPhone isn't cooperating now, although I'll try it later.
What do you think?

It looks like a homemade or at least a handmade album
the leather strap may not be the original due to the condition
but hard to see in the photos, it looks like it is from the 60s or 70s possibly
just hard to tell in the photo, but I strongly doubt it is as old as 1937

RNR, How did you come up with !937?
I'm with ATP. It just looks 60's to me. Maybe the style of the script and the words themselves.
Doesn't matter, it's a very cool piece!
