This is sold by Trader Vic's and is made from the menacing original skull mug that the Trader patented in 1939, not the cartoonish "kid friendly" one they sold more recently. Get them while you can and accept no substitutes! http://www.shoptradervics.com/products/trader-vics-skull-mug .

I could be wrong but I think $45 is for a set of 6. (One of each design and a duplicate.)
At least that is what you got for $45 a year ago.
