I've started making a few things to decorate the home lounge. I'm learning how to do rope netting on bottles... here's my first effort!



I included a carry handle, and the cork has a safety line so it won't get lost on rough seas!

Hey that's a nice looking net job there! Thanks for sharing the picture. I just got 1200 feet of quarter inch manila myself. Going to learn to tie nets myself.

Traderpup, very cool!
You can probably get some knot-tying ideas from the Knotical Art booth at Crafted in San Pedro. The man that is the artist/tug boat worker also takes custom orders.


The Maritime Museum in San Pedro has some examples of knot boards and art that sailors have made while out at sea. It's a cool small museum to visit if you've never been.

Looks great Pup. I like the larger rope. I did one a while ago with smaller twine but I like yours better

I have never tied a bottle yet.
Always wanted to.
