Yes, hope to see you all (well, a few of you at least) at The Parkway on August 14. Otto has selected three special surprise short subjects (he also put me in charge of the film programming at Tiki Oasis '04 in Palm Springs, more on that later), plus I'm showing SHE GODS OF SHARK REEF on big screen DVD. The Devil-ettes have cooked up some extra saucy routines, as well.

And please, check out THE CONGA LOUNGE, by all means, if not on August 16, soon. The owners, Michael and Mano are Greeks raised in South African who have far more enthusiasm for and knowledge of classic American pop culture - including tiki - than your average stateside citizen (which, I know, isn't saying much, but you get my drift). They are courting true tiki lovers like us, so we need to support them before the Greg Brady Bunch takes over and tries to turn 'em into a "Survivor" outpost for hip-hoppers.

After the Elvis night, Otto and I plan many more theme nights there, please stay tuned, and sign up for our newsletters at
www.tikinews.com (which I'm sure you are already) and my own (probably not) www.thrillville.net for updates.

Aloha and TCB
