Description:
Mostly a wine bar (featuring New Zealand & Australian wines), but they have a fully stocked bar & they DO serve kava kava tea & something called a kava kava cocktail (my recommendation).
The walls are adorned w/ excellent 'South Seas' murals & \"tribal art\" & great antique prints of Maori & Polynesian life.
There's one big giant creepy-looking (especially after a kava kava cocktail!) tiki-esque thing on the back wall.
I hope to go back soon w/ my camera.

At present (September 21, 2004) Kava Lounge is closed but "reopening soon under new management."
Pray to the tiki gods that it will remain the Kava Lounge!
