Original 50's 'shade, picked up last Saturday from a yard sale for $5, just passing by on my bike - and I've been looking for one a'these for ages...
- it's a nicer shade of blue-green than can be seen, & has tiny squares of foil all over it.
oh and the lamp itself (some touch-ups needed) I scored about five years back for $20 from a retro shop that couldn't afford their rent-hike and was closing down with a blow-out sale...

One of the coolest things I own, a 50's lighter with a working roulette wheel attached.

Ever wonder why our friends think we are crazy?
Then you find yourself plunking down $7.50 for a divers helmet decanter that is also a music box & guess what it plays? The theme from Love Story!
What do I win?

Paying $7.50 for a liquor decanter is never having to say you're sorry.

The theme from Love Story... that's completely insane - I almost choked on some rice when reading that! Awesome decanter, but was there any deep-sea diving in that flick?

Not sure if this is "beyond" or actually belongs in "tiki".. but I found a monkey-pod bowl today, looks like a big nut or seed pod from the back, four pockets in the front.. will work great on the bar for swizzle sticks and toothpicks and junk.
3$!
(First dive into a goodwill looking for this sort of thing, too. SCORE!)

Well... No tiki for me today but I'm kind of thinking that my new end table might be a good beyond tiki find?
Genuine Heywood Wakefield bamboo end table 1/2 price day at the Salvation Army! It needs a little love and attention but I was pretty excited to get it.

Tikisgrl scores again. Just for the record, I lost one of my favorite hunting grounds when the Bernat Mill burned to the ground last weekend. It had several reasonable antique stores and I very rarely left empty-handed. I hope some of them land on their feet and relocate. Oh, well! At least no one was hurt. Nice score! I'm sure I'll be posting soon!

Here are my swag lamps.
This one I found in the wild
This one was given to me by a dear friend. It was rescued from her grand mothers estate with me in mind...It's growing on me...

Nice find! That is actually made of Ash. It's from the HW Ashcraft line. During the war they couldn't import rattan from Asia so they made it from bent ash and burned in the faux rattan marks. I have the matching barstools. Very collectable!

I found one just like this today at Goodwill!!! Mine plays " O Sole Mio", not that I could tell from the tune or anything...it had a little tag on the bottom. So cool!
