The horse is really cool Vic! Looking great!
Mr. Potato Head is great also, not to mention the rootball!
As much as I enjoy tiki work, branching out into other subjects in wood is a nice change of pace. I've found that it actually improves my tiki work in the long run, as I learn other woodcarving techniques on different subjects.
I saw you mention doing Southwest/Cowboy carving. I think that would be a fun subject that would sell by you. Here in the Midwest, its all bears and eagles, subjects that don't hold my attention at all.

Awesome carves, JT you are the master of the big suckas! That last one totally looks like he's got a few explorers/missionaries boiling up for dinner. Love the expression and the root ball is fantastic!
By the way...in the first pic, what's that crazy monster chain-saw looking tool? it looks like it can really tear some wood apart!
