Badmojo,

Excellent job! That Suffering Bastard really looks like an old-school bar artifact.

I went to walmart and bought glass/tile drill bits. they worked out perfectly. i then sanded the bottle, primer, fleck stone, and then black textured rustoleum. it turned out bad ass. i bought some raffia like twine and used that to cover the bottle neck. i also used a 7 inch harp. now i just need to find a cool lampshade. i am lloking for something bamboo or rattan. thanks for the great idea to turn this simple bottle into something so cool.

I am so retarded sometimes. I have never seen a lamp that didn't have a harp. The shade i found at target looks very tropical. it is a beige burlap with a rattan looking exoskeleton exposing the burlap. this particular shade does not use a harp, but fits under the bulb. i simply removed the harp that i thought i needed and voila! it fits perfectly. this is the first time i ever made anything, and am very surprised at the results, very professional looking. unfortunately, i don't have a digital camera yet, but i will post the pics as soon as i do. thanks again everyone for your guidance on making the lamp.

Badmojo ~ have you attempted the Lava Lamp yet?
(i looked at the website for do-it-yourself-lava ~ whoa, way complicated for me...)

but if someone else made it work first ~ i'd give it a try...

Has anybody seen any of the Suffering Bastard bottles recently?

I never saw any, and was wondering if they've surfaced at Z Gallery or some other place?
