Hi!
Looking for flavored cocktail sugars. Like the shag ones, but $12 for a tin? Kind of not worth it. Was wondering if any of my fellow TCers know where I can get the shag cocktail sugars for a good deal or have any cocktail sugar recipes that they would be willing to share. If you do, I'll try them out and tell you how great they make my drinks taste!! L)

You can find flavored sugars a little cheaper than $12/tin. Bevmo has them for $7 (not a GREAT bargain, but better than $12).

Sam's Wines' Gourmet section has Urban Accents Citrus Sugar & Berry Sugar for $3.99 plus S&H.
I'd assume that you'd make a Citrus Sugar by burying some zest (Lemon, Lime &/or Orange) in a jar of sugar. This's the same way you make Vanilla Sugar (bury the Vanilla Bean in a jar of sugar after you scrape out the seeds to use in a recipe). You just have to shake the jar ocasionally.
