I'd like to be the first to wish our Tiki Brethren to the North a Happy Canada Day. Enjoy yourselves... have an ale & some bacon, eh?

I'd just like to say, take off, it's a beauty way to go!
I spent Canada Day painting our condo. Spent Yesterday at IKEA and Canadian Tire (well, that's SEMI patriotic!). We will spend today (4th of July) at Home Depot looking for the right &8!!@ screws for hanging CD racks. It hasn't been much of a holiday, it's been home improvement hell!
Those people who are all happy and smiley in the Home Depot commercials? THEYRE ACTORS.

Interesting. It was Very soon after this thread was posted that TC went down. Coincidence? I think not!
It's a conspiracy. and interesting that Tikifish should mention actors. Lorne Greene was from Canada.
Lorne GREENE
GREEN Card.
think about it!

I never mention actors if I can help it.
You can keep Lorne Greene and Pamela Anderson, we don't want them back!

Yay! Saw this thread just now and HAD to post. See, we're not really braggers, us Canucks, but you TC folk seem to be exerting a decidedly foreign influence on me these days, & what the hell, it's for Canada day, right? So, Americats & kittens, here's the definative list, according to me, of Canadian celebrities -- The good, the bad and the ugly. I have purposely left off some of the very obvious ones or ones that have already been discussed in this thread. I have also unpurposely missed people due to ignorance I'm sure, but here goes...
Tommy Chong
Raymond Burr
Peter Jennings
Paul Schaffer
William Shatner
Dan Akroyd
Leslie Nielson
Ivan Reitman
W. P. Kinsella
James Cameron
Wayne Gretsky
Keanu Reeves
Donald Sutherland
Mike Meyers
Margot Kidder
Paul Anka
Michael J. Fox
Neil Young
Cathrine O'Hara
Gino Vanelli
Jim Carrey
Martin Short
Rick Morenis
John Candy
Eugene Levy
David Cronenberg
Joni Mitchell
Leonard Cohen
Tom Cochrane
The Guess Who
BTO (yes, okay, I get it. These are bands, not people)
Corey Hart
The Friendly Giant (did you guys watch that show?)
Gordon Lightfoot
Heather Watts (Yeah right. I wish.)
So put THAT in your fife and smoke it!

Oh no you don't! Howie Mandell is a small price to pay for all the quality Canadian talent we export.
I don't think you even want to SEE the list of people YOU guys can keep. Hah!
